We loved photographing A'vy and Billy's wedding last month! They had a classic and elegant wedding ceremony and reception at Linden Place in Flushing. Along with their friends and family, their dog made an appearance as the ring bearer. There was lots of love in the air, and fun too! Manda + Sam's | Flushing Meadow Park, Mudan wedding

Manda and Sam are an amazing couple and so much fun to work with. It was already evident from their engagement session that they were full of smiles and laughter. Imagine that and multiply by many many times more! This wedding day was truly a reflection of their love and happiness to be with one another.

It was a beautiful November fall day with just the right amount of sunlight and breeze. Fall is a great time for pictures as any outdoor shots portray the beautiful colors of the season.

It was also one awesome celebration. Manda and Sam were married at Mudan banquet hall in Flushing, Queens. The reception was all about family, friends and fun. And this bridal party knew how to have fun! As the night went on, everyone continued to laugh and dance. It was truly a wedding to remember!

Manda and Sam, congratulations again, and thank you for letting me capture your special day. I also hope you both had a great Thanksgiving holiday, as true love and happiness as genuine as what you share is truly something to be thankful for.

Andrea + David | Westbury Manor wedding

The bridesmaids gathered around the soon-to-be bride, making adjustments to her gorgeous, strikingly-white gown as they offer her wishes of luck and hope. At a separate location not so very far away, the groom jokes around with the groomsmen, trying to calm his nerves about the heartfelt ceremony that is about to take place. It is the day that Andrea and David are to be married in a romantic ceremony at Westbury Manor. This traditional Victorian manor was the perfect location for this couple to exchange vows of the love and friendship. Featuring exquisite English gardens and elegant banquet rooms, Westbury Manor was the perfect setting for a picture-perfect wedding.

On October 22, 2011, this beautiful couple was joined together in marriage as family and friends looked on lovingly. No words can explain the glow that spread slowly across Andrea's face as she saw her groom for the first time. Yet, there was no comparison in the way that David's eyes widened when he saw his beautiful bride slowly making her way towards him.

Full of sentimental memories, joyous tears, and perpetual laughter, the day was aglow with the energy that radiated from the joining of these two lives into one. So please join me in wishing this couple a long, healthy, happy marriage full of beautiful memories and exciting new adventures!

Anna + Jack | Fire Island engagement photos

Fire Island is always an exciting and romantic place to shoot engagement photos, and for Anna and Jack the beautiful scenery only added to the already passionate sparks between them. Anna and Jack will be joining together in marriage this coming December and I could see such excitement and anticipation in their eyes. They were such fun to work with and very photogenic!

Going for a stroll along the deck, the lovely couple could barely take their eyes off of one another. Joy seemed to just spring out of them as they smiled at one another lovingly. A quiet moment here and there is a breathtaking picture of how love should be; both fun and serious but always sincere. It was clear as I started snapping the shots that this couple has that true love. Their affections were both natural and sincere.

A smile can say a thousand words, but no words are necessary when Anna and Jack are in each other's arms. They just enjoy their time together. The couple embraces with the brilliant, old lighthouse in the background, and it is the perfect symbol of the marriage that Anna and Jack are sure to have--strong, powerful and growing evermore special with every year that passes.

Down on the beach the beautiful ocean and waves are just too much for this happy couple, and Jack picks Anna up and spins her around as the two playfully embrace. The scene is just too romantic for words and yet all these two can do is stare deeply into each other's eyes and pull close for a sweet kiss. Yes, there was love in the air on Fire Island, and Anna and Jack were creating a heat of their own!

I had such a blast at this photo shoot and enjoyed the company of this beautiful couple. Thank you Anna and Jack and may your marriage be as beautiful as the two of you are together!

Manda + Sam's | Brooklyn, Coney Island engagement photos

Having lived most of my life in Brooklyn, I am always excited when couples choose to have their photo shoot here. We started our shoot at Marine Park, followed by a stroll along the boardwalk in Coney Island, and finished our day on the NYC subway. Despite the attention this good-looking couple was attracting, it did not bother them one bit. They only had eyes for each other. I also love it when couples are daring and not afraid to try something new. Manda and Sam were not afraid to climb obstacles or sit on train platforms to get the perfect shot. Thank you guys for a wonderful time!

Jessica + Brian | Washington Square Park, NYU engagement

There's always something memorable about every couple from every photo shoot. For Jessica and Brian, what really stuck in my mind was their laughter. I love how easy it was for Brian to get Jessica to laugh when the two were together. You can clearly see the chemistry between them both. We began our session at Washington Square Park and explored the lovely surrounding neighborhood. After spending some time strolling through the park and the brownstones, we ended up at NYU, Jessica's alma mater. With this special perk, we were able to get around campus buildings without any problems. It was great getting to know them both before their wedding next year. Thank you, Jessica and Brian, for a lovely day in the city and congratulations again, I can't wait till your wedding next year!

Christine + Dan | Battery Park engagement photos

Christine and Dan are getting married next year. We took a few hours to go out and shoot some engagement photos around Battery Park. We definitely had a great time despite the fickle weather that we've been having in New York City lately. As you can see from the pictures, there's still plenty of green out there. Fall may be sneaking up on us with the strong winds and the change in colors lately, but for these two, summer loving is not over yet! An TIng + Chris | The Vanderbilt, South Beach wedding

Who says you have to go all the way to South Beach, Florida to experience the excitement, fun, beautiful people, and dancing when we have our very own right here in New York? Along the eastern shore of Staten Island lays this borough's hidden treasure - a stretch of over 2 miles of sandy beach with a boardwalk and is not only perfect for fishing and biking, but for weddings as well! The beautiful Vanderbilt at South Beach is located right in the heart of it all. The venue provides beautiful ocean-front views of the Lower New York Bay as well as the Verrazano Narrow Bridge, and most importantly, Brooklyn, the place where it all began for An Ting and Chris.

On this beautiful Saturday, I almost forgot I was working while capturing the special moments and fun of An Ting and Chris's wedding day. The bride and her bridesmaids were dressed in elegant full-length gowns accommodated by bright bouquets that accentuated their style and elegance. The ladies kept their high spirits and excitement throughout the day and were great to work with. The groomsmen knew just how to have fun as well! Looking tough on the police barricade, it was obvious nothing could ever block Chris' way to An Ting! The groomsmen chatted about their passion for cars, kept the mood light, and looked sharp for the beautiful ladies.

After a beautiful ceremony where An Ting and Chris expressed their love and commitment to each other and their new life as husband and wife, the happy couple joined their friends for a fine reception. The reception hall lit up beautifully and the fantastic music created the perfect atmosphere for a grand party. Before the night was over, the dance floor became THE place to be. All of An Ting and Chris' friends kept the party going with dancing all night long!

The happy couple took off for their honeymoon in Puerto Rico after the wedding. If the wedding day is any indication of what's to come (and I think it is), Chris and An Ting are in for a life full of love and excitement. I am honored to have been there for the first page in this new chapter of their lives!

Catherine + Quincy | Jericho Terrace Wedding

She knew he was the one when she saw his big heart. Sure, he was funny, athletic and charming like she had dreamed he would be, but once she saw through the exterior, it was confirmed. There was no one else more giving, caring and generous than Quincy.

He knew she was the one when she told him she was a Yankees fan. Sure, she was pretty, sweet, and can probably out drink him like he had dreamed she would be, but once she passed his Yankees trivia, it was confirmed. There was no one else more understanding and compatible than Catherine. And so it began...

After five and a half years of growing the love and bond that they now share, Catherine and Quincy declared their vows for each other in front of all their closest family and friends. But before these lovebirds made it down the aisle, it was a long fun-filled day beginning with games and tea ceremonies at both the bride and groom's houses. The bridesmaids didn't make it easy for Quincy, either. Armed with creative yet traditional Chinese wedding door games, the bridesmaids made sure Quincy, with the help of his groomsmen, professed his love for Catherine in every way possible, including spelling out "I <3 CAT" using their bodies.

The ceremony and reception took place at Jericho Terrace in Mineola, New York. The circular driveway around a stone fountain and a beautiful garden creates a magnificent entrance to the wedding hall. The reception was held in a skylight ballroom making it an incredibly romantic and elegant atmosphere. It was the perfect ambiance for a couple as special as Catherine and Quincy.

Catherine and Quincy, it was an absolute pleasure to capture your special day for you. Congratulations and I wish you both love, happiness, laughter, and many Yankees games for years to come

Susan + Rafael's wedding at The Duke Farm

On Saturday, September 3rd, I had the pleasure of capturing a special moment in the lives of Susan and Rafael as they celebrated their wedding. The couple - a travel enthusiast and chef, respectively - tied the knot on a quiet little farm, The Duke Farm, about an hour outside of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, nestled right in the middle of Pennsylvania Dutch Country. The skies were clear and the sun was setting over the cornfield. The ceremony was beautiful: The ring bearer and flower girl did their jobs well, the guests were all very excited to be there, and it was all made perfect by the farm setting and the love that ties this couple together. You could see the excitement and anticipation on Rafael's face as his bride to be walked down the aisle - truly amazing! It seemed as everything was right in the world on that day so that this couple could celebrate, and celebrate they did! The group in attendance was small, But that didn't stop the atmosphere from being intimate and friendly as the very happy bride and groom partied with their close friends and family.

Susan absolutely glowed in a strapless wedding dress. Rafael looked sharp wearing a suit in gunmetal grey with a silver tie that coordinated with the dress perfectly. The two were all smiles the whole time. You could see their love for each other in their eyes, and it made the day that much more special. The simple elegance of the whole affair was present in the silks the attendants wore, the jewel tones of the flowers, and the simple but beautiful location of the event. The personality of the couple shone through the carefully picked details that made the day unforgettable.

I am blessed to have been able to spend this special day with Susan and Rafael. This new chapter in their lives will undoubtedly be a happy one, and I wish them the best of luck in everything to come. Thank you and congratulations, Susan and Rafael!

Leanne + Phil | City Hall wedding | Battery Park Photos

Through my photography, I am given the opportunity to share life's special moments with my clients. From time to time a moment will touch me a little more than my typical session. This was the case with the wedding of Leanne and Phil, a beautiful couple who has shared life's ups and downs together. Through it all their love prevailed and they tied the knot on August 18th in a small private ceremony at city hall with only their closest family and friends looking on. Although the wedding was small it made a huge impact on everyone in attendance. Following the small intimate ceremony, we headed to Battery Park to take some photographs of the newlyweds.

Leeanne looked radiant and was still glowing following the ceremony. You could tell she had just married the love her life and was ready to start the next chapter of her life with him. He looked very casual while still remaining traditional for the small wedding. Their love is unmistaken and it shows through on the photos. We were able to get many beautiful images of the couple all over the park, and family and friends even jumped in to share the fun with us. It was wonderful capturing the pure joy surrounding everyone as they celebrated the union of this wonderful couple.

Leanne and Phil's wedding is one I will not soon forget. I have this great opportunity with my career to meet so many different people, and it is a real honor to play such a huge role in photographing life's moments. This was a wonderful day with an extraordinary couple. I wish Leanne and Phil all the best as they take on life as man and wife. Congratulations and best wishes!

Chris + An Ting | Battery Park, evening engagement photos

It's not every day that you have an engagement shoot in the middle of a hurricane evacuation, but that is exactly what happened on Friday evening, August 26th. Chris and An Ting were determined to have their engagement shoot in the evening and they were not ready to let any hurricane stand in their way.

I love when clients are unique and take it upon them to suggest the shooting locations or other ideas. Chris and Ann Ting were just that couple. They are adventurous, fun loving and ready for anything. They are couple who knows what they want, and I was ready to give that too them.

The location of the engagement session was downtown New York at Battery Park on the west side. The location offered many different landscapes and structures to work with. Nighttime sessions pose a different type of challenge with lighting, but when done right they produce truly spectacular images. I work all over New York, so it makes it more exciting for me when couples have their own vision and come to the session with ideas.

Chris and An Ting looked great in their chosen outfits. The first outfit had An Ting, a recent graduate from nursing school, wearing a fabulous body hugging white dress with gold zipper detailing on the shoulders. Chris was wearing simple gray and white gingham shirt with black dress slacks. They are a beautiful couple and they were relaxed for the entire photo session. The second outfit selection was a bit more casual, Chris was wearing a sharp white button down untucked with a pair of great jeans. An Ting was in a beautiful red dress that had a small tie halter. They were both so in synch with each other it was a joy to watch and photograph.

The engagement session went amazing, and the images turned out just fantastic. We were able to capture tender moments even in the hours right before Sundays Hurricane. The couple kept their cool even with people rushing all around us to evacuate. The serenity brought to the images truly came from the couple's interactions with each other. We were also able to capture the beauty of New York City and it's lights. This was a perfect setting for these two love birds.

An Ting and Chris will be tying the knot on September 24th, 2011 at the beautiful Vanderbilt south beach in Staten Island. This beach front ballroom is the perfect setting for a wonderful wedding. The couple is really looking forward to the big day and cannot wait to share their lives with each other. I want to thank Chris and Ann Ting for an amazing session. Best of luck to you both.

Nim + Judy | Leonard's wedding hall photos

August Saturday August 5th I had the opportunity to join a wonderful couple, Judy and Nim, to celebrate and photograph their beautiful wedding. The happy couple was ecstatic to be tying the knot and beginning their lives together as a married couple in their new apartment. With Judy just becoming a nurse the couple felt the time was right to start this married journey together.

The wedding venue was Leonard's in Great Neck, NY. The exquisite venue had all the necessities and extra for a grand wedding. The facility features a spectacular fountain out front, meticulously groomed grounds and gorgeous crystal chandeliers inside. It has what royal weddings are made of. The beauty of the facility was a perfect backdrop for the many amazing images we were able to capture that day of the happy couple.

Judy looked amazing in her gorgeous white gown. The beautiful gown had accents in just the right spots with an incredible section of rhinestones around the waist and beautiful bead work on the upper portion of the bodice and sheer straps. Judy wore most of her hair down in soft, cascading black curls. A small section of hair was pinned up to secure the amazing tiara. The tiara full of sparkling rhinestones was breathtaking to look at. The jewelry was kept fairly simple with only a beautiful pair of earrings to accent the overall look. Her bridesmaids looked gorgeous as well in a beautiful bright pink strapless dresses.

Nim, who looked sharp in a stylish black suit with traditional wedding white tie. He was so excited to be marrying the love of his life. The couple was overjoyed following their ceremony and starting their lives as a married couple. The flowers were a mix of white, pink and purple and featured calla lilies and orchids. It was a beautiful outdoor ceremony with great weather. We followed up the ceremony capturing some great photos of the couple basking in their joy of being Mr. & Mrs.

The reception was a fantastic event, that feature great food and much dancing. The guest mingled and spent time with the happy couple celebrating the wonderful time in their lives. Everyone truly enjoyed the day and it was a wedding to be remembered for a long time. I would like to thank Judy and Nim for allowing me to be a part of their special day. I wish them many years of happiness together, Congratulations!

Billy + Avy | Chelsea Piers, Hudson River Park engagement photos

Occasionally, I will work with a couple that will hold a very special place in my heart. That is the case with Billy & Avy. My journey with them began last year when I was asked to photograph a surprise wedding proposal from Billy to Avy. Luckily for all of us involved she said yes and I was able to captured the entire special moment. The couple was very excited to get their engagement photos done so we chose three different locations to work with; Chelsea Piers, Hudson River Park and the Intrepid Museum. With the wide selection of locations I knew we would have a great time on the shoot and the photos would turn out amazing.

Billy and Avy had us start out the session at the Intrepid Museum where we grab a few shoots. Avy was wearing a knee length black sundress with a great skinny belt while, Billy wore jeans with an untucked gray button down. They looked hip and stylish and 100% in love. We then moved onto Chelsea Piers where Billy had rented out the entire ice rink for the engagement shoot. Billy is from New York City but Avy is from Philadelphia so he wanted to choose locations special to both of them. We spent a great deal of time here capturing many fun images. This location selection allowed the couple to show off their fun side as well as showing us some romance. Avy changed into a gray tunic with green leggings, they both looked adorable and so in love with each other. The photos show off their fun loving personality.

We finished the day photographing the couple in Hudson River Park where Avy changed into a bright multi colored tube dress and looked remarkable. The colors accented her creamy complexion perfectly. These images turned out exceptionally well as the dress just popped against the earth tones of the park. Billy and Avy have a huge task choosing which images they want, as we were lucky enough to capture several for them to choose from. Congratulations again to Billy and Avy on your engagement, I look forward to the wedding!

Darren + Aneri | Central Park & Gantry State Park engagement photos

It's not every day that I photograph two individuals who are so perfectly in sync with each other. I was thrilled when I found that connection between Darren and Aneri. They have a love that is so pure and touching, and I was really excited to get out and photograph them for their engagement session. We selected two New York locations; Central Park and the beautiful Gantry State Park in Long Island City. It was a wonderful July day for a photo shoot and I was looking forward to capturing their love on film.

The first part of the session was in Manhattan's Central Park where we took advantage of the shade from the trees and bridges. The couple wanted to focus on tradition and their heritage. Aneri is of Indian decent and it was important to the couple that they took the time to honor her background by wearing some amazing traditional Indian clothing. The bright colors of the clothing focused the attention on the couple as Central Park provided a beautiful rustic look as a backdrop. The beauty of the Indian culture and Aneri's background in ballet really allowed us to capture some fantastic and unique images that showcase the couples cultures. She loves to pose, which helped make this session unique. One of the favorite photos of the day is a silhouette of Aneri and Darren under a central park bridge where she is showcase a beautiful pose. Darren is actually not Indian but rather Chinese although, he did take part in wearing the Indian garment very well. The bright red added an amazing pop to the images, as you can see below.

The engagement shoot then moved to Gantry State Park in Long Island City where Aneri changed into a great white dress and Darren donned a fantastic tan suit. The couple looked exquisite and we were excited to continue the session. With the New York City skyline as the background we were able to get some great shoots of the couple with midtown Manhattan right behind them. Darren and Aneri were very playful with each other, letting their guard down to capture the realness of their relationship. This amazing couple had a lot of fun with each other and had many tender moments that I was able to capture. The couples love and admiration for each other is apparent and came through on the images. All in all the day went great and the photos are the perfect blend of tradition and modern sophistication.

I want to wish the best of luck to Aneri and Darren. It was a terrific day working on your engagement session. You are two very wonderful people and I am thrilled to have had the chance to work with you. Your love is pure and your wedding day is sure to be fantastic in Canada.
